Home-based in Ashville, North Carolina, The Kingsmen is vocal quartet. Ed now graces the annals of southern gospel music history along with legends of the like of Jim Hamill, Squire Parsons, Anthony Burger, Ernie Phillips, and the many others who were and remain today members of The Kingsmen. Today, The Kingsmen remain one of the most highly successful recording and performing groups and most awarded groups in Southern Gospel Music History.
Fourteen Singing News Top 40 #1 songs belong to The Kingsmen, the second most of any group in chart history. In addition, several Grammy nominations and being the recipient of several Dove Awards belong to The Kingsmen. They have also been invited to perform at some of this country’s most prestigious venues, which include The White House and The Grand Ole Opry. Hall of Fame memberships include the Southern Gospel Music Hall of Fame, Gospel Music Hall of Fame and the Christian Music Hall of Fame.
